Murrine 0.41 Ubuntu binary package

When it rains, it pours. Fresh from upstream, its Murrine 0.41.

Get the testing deb!

Murrine 0.41

NOTE: This is a 32-bit package, maybe sometime I or someone else will get around to cross-compiling it.

Changelog:

0.41
===
* New option, hilight_ratio = 1.0 (it’s a double) to select the amount of hilight you want. Useful with dark themes that lacks on hilight (set hilight_ratio = 1.15 or more) or you
can simply decrease the hilight (set hilight_ratio = 0.909090 to have a flat theme!!! Less to emulate something similar to the concave style, useful to make concave style on roun
ded themes)
* Fixed bug that prevents using different options in different widgets (e.g. you can have different roundness on buttons and menuitems if you edit gtkrc by hand)
* Fixed a rendering bug on scrollbar steppers
* Added retrocompatibility to old themes before 0.30 release
* Now arrows on combobox and optionmenu use text color (good for dark themes)
* Improved things here and here :)
* Reformatted code here and here :)

With luck and great skill, Murrine will soon be in the Ubuntu Universe repository so look for it in Feisty.

libsoma ubuntu binaries

Another package release, this time libsoma.

libsoma-dev_2.3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

libsoma2_2.3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

Note: Install libsoma2 before you install libsoma-dev.

Amarok, libgpod and an iPod

I am putting this putting this out on the internet so google will know about it and save other people some frustrations.

Generally, I like new versions of software. Amarok 1.4.4 and libgpod 4.0.0 break funtionallity, which is not good.

Problem: Files transfered to iPod will not play.

Solution: If you upgraded to the new amarok offered on kubuntu.org,
1) remove the deb entry from /etc/apt/sources.list

vim /etc/apt/sources.list

2) Update

sudo aptitude update

3) Remove offending packages

sudo aptitude remove amarok libgpod0

This should return you iPod to working order.

Ubuntu Murrine-0.40.1.debs available for testing

Here they are, complete with the latest upstream source.

Murrine-0.40.1

Note: This package is just the engine, you need to install your themes to ~/.themes/
